Having undertaken a crime prevention course recently, I became aware of Secured by design (SBD), which is an official Police initiative that is owned by the UK Police service. 

Their website has a significant amount of crime prevention and security advice, ranging from vehicle and home security to also personal safety. I would highly recommend having a peruse through the following page Secured by Design - Crime Prevention & Security Advice

Following the above, you can then use the product category search (Product Category Search) to look for security products, all these items have been tested to high standards and are accredited. You cannot purchase through this website, and it will not recommend one item over another.
